Dear Frustrated Dieter,
I want to tell you a little bit about my background with weight loss…
I used to weigh nearly 300 pounds about 6 and a half years ago. (That's me on the right...) Even though I'm smiling in that picture, when I was that weight, my life was pretty miserable. I always pretended it wasn’t. I had this kind of facade that everything was great and I was happy, but genuinely, underneath that, things weren’t going so great for me.
I was always unwell. I was taking about 14 or 15 different medications at a time because I had so many different symptoms and illnesses. From rashes and infections to coughs, acne, high blood pressure and a diabetes scare – my body was under a LOT of pressure from all the extra weight.
In many ways, what felt even more painful was that I didn’t have very genuine connections with other people during that time. Emotionally I was very shut down. I wasn’t willing to communicate with people. It was not a happy period of my life.
The good news is that it got better…much better…
These days my life is completely different, pretty much unrecognizable from how it was before. I’ve lost over 160 pounds without any standard “dieting”. I’ve adopted some simple principles that have allowed me to keep the weight off for over four years now.
I have to kind of remind myself that the old pictures of me are actually of me. Everything about my life is different.
I’m genuinely happy. I genuinely love the life path that I’m on. I love being able to share my experiences with other people and to help them to change things in their lives.
I’m so happy to be here. I’ve experienced a transformation that I now share with others.
One of the reasons I like to share this information about having a raw food lifestyle (I’ll explain this in a bit) and how this can help people to release weight, is because I see a major crisis going on in our societies around overweight, obesity and overeating. What I don’t seem to see so much is people looking for very natural or sustainable solutions for handling this health crisis.
This really concerns me because I see people going in loop after loop on dieting ‘merry-go-rounds’. They never seem to find results that actually truly work for them. Personally, I have no interest in that kind of paradigm.
There’s a way, a totally simple way that you can live naturally.
Humans regularly eat things from packets and cans and so on. All the other animals out in the wild eat things straight from nature. The wild animals don’t deal with the kind of illnesses we do or the incidences of obesity and overweight. I really like to share with people that eating raw is simply a natural way of handling your weight release.
There’s a well known statistic that states that 90% of all dieters who lose weight gain it back. That means clearly that what they’re doing isn’t working in the long–run. It sounds pretty elementary, but the fact is, many of these same people try the same diet again and again, only to repeat their unsatisfactory results.
Considering my own journey, I’m one of the 10% who’s actually succeeded in the long–run and I want to help you onto that path to success too.
